FAQ
Website Design & Redesign
Timelines, what's included, mobile and speed, content, and owning your finished site.
10 common questions
Your website is usually the first thing a potential customer checks before they call, so it has to load fast, look trustworthy on a phone, and make the next step obvious. These are the questions business owners ask us most before starting a new site or a redesign.
If you don't see your question here, reach out — we're happy to talk through your specific situation before you commit to anything.
Most Starter and Growth websites launch in a few weeks from kickoff. The biggest variable is how quickly we get your content, photos, and feedback — projects move fastest when someone on your side owns those. Larger custom builds with more pages and functionality take longer, and we give you a clear timeline before we start.
Yes. After full payment, you own your completed website and the custom work we built for you, subject to any third-party licenses like premium fonts or stock photography. We don't hold your site hostage, and if you ever leave, we help you move it.
Every site we build is designed mobile-first. The majority of local searches happen on phones, so we start with the small screen and scale up — not the other way around. That means fast loading, tap-friendly buttons, and layouts that don't break on smaller devices.
A new website starts from a blank slate, which makes sense if you have no site or an outdated one that isn't worth saving. A redesign rebuilds on top of what already works — we keep the pages, content, and rankings that earn results, fix what doesn't, and modernize the design and speed. A redesign also protects the SEO equity you've already built.
We structure and refine your messaging for conversion as part of every project, and we can take on deeper copywriting for larger builds. You know your business best, so we usually start from a short questionnaire or conversation and turn that into clear, customer-focused copy.
The essentials are your logo (if you have one), a rough idea of the pages you need, any photos you want to use, and access to your domain. Don't worry if some of that is missing — we can generate a plan, recommend photography, and help you secure a domain if you don't have one yet.
Most small-business sites do well with a focused set: a strong home page, an about page, a services or products section, proof like reviews and past work, and a clear contact page. Service-area businesses often add individual service and location pages to rank for more searches. We recommend a structure based on how your customers actually shop.
It shouldn't when it's done carefully. We audit your existing pages, map redirects from old URLs to new ones, and preserve the content and structure that earn rankings. The risk comes from rebuilding without a migration plan — which is exactly what we plan around.
Absolutely. If your logo, colors, and identity are working, we build around them. A redesign is often about improving speed, structure, and conversion — not reinventing your brand. If your brand does need a refresh, we can handle that too.
Launch is the starting line, not the finish. We make sure everything is tracked, submitted to Google, and backed up. From there you can host and maintain it with our Website Care plan, and layer on marketing when you're ready to drive more traffic.
